DAY 26:

While the guide students are doing a lot of the cooking, today was my turn to be the cook. I am enjoying what I'm doing and look forward to hiring on with an outfitter. Nothing is more satisfying than a group of people complimenting my cooking. It's a sense of accomplishment that a lot of jobs don't give you.

I took a hike today and had my camera along. In the evening, we saw a mule deer buck in the meadow. I can't believe I am going to get paid to see breathtaking scenery and live in an untamed environment that most people only dream about.
